The COCISD Educational Foundation was formed by a group of caring and committed citizens with a vision to enhance the educational opportunities and student success in the COCISD school district.
The COCISD general operating budget focuses on mandated costs. In today's economy, most school districts no longer have discretionary funds for services and activities that exceed minimum needs and requirements. A substantial investment is required to sustain excellent educational programs and services that require technology, laboratories, cultural experiences, up-to-date occupational and technical equipment and resource materials.
The Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt philanthropic organization. A volunteer board of directors composed of business, community, and educational leaders governs the foundation.
